Donald Keezer, age 66, of Waubun, MN, died Sunday, January 10, 2021, at his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Donald Gene Keezer was born on February 5, 1954, to Leoba Keezer in White Earth, MN.  He was raised in Detroit Lakes, MN, and also attended school there before joining the work force at Swift's Turkey Plant. He received the nickname "Bimbo" his younger years and was lovingly known as Bimbo by many. Donald lived and worked in various places throughout his life, before moving to Elbow Lake Village, rural Waubun, three years ago.

Donald met Sheila Kern and the couple spent many wonderful years together. Sheila lovingly cared for Donald and over the years they were always side by side. He enjoyed garage sales, playing the board game Monopoly for hours at a time, car rides and loved dogs, always spoiling them with the best of care. Bimbo will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Donald is survived by his significant other, Sheila Kern; stepdaughter, Britany (Mike Holmquist) Kern all of Waubun; cousins; and numerous friends.

He is preceded in death by his mom, Leoba; grandparents; a brother, Ronald Keezer; and many aunts and uncles.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 15, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Naytahwaush Sports Complex, Naytahwaush, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held in the Vernon Anderson Cemetery in the spring.

Following all Covid-19 safety protocols, social distancing will be practiced, and all must wear a mask to participate.
