Dominic Buehner, age 26, of Naytahwaush, MN, died unexpectedly, on Thursday, October 24, 2019.

Dominic Alex was born in Everette, WA, on July 13, 1993, the oldest son of Celeste Peltier and Gary Buehner Jr.  As an infant, Dom's family moved back to the White Earth Reservation, where he grew up and attended school.  He was a member of the Eagle Clan.  Following his schooling, Dominic worked construction with his dad for a time before going to the Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen to work as a Buffet Server.

Dominic will be remembered as a fun loving and laid-back young man who could be very generous.  He was always available and ready to lend a hand to anyone in need.  He had a great sense of humor and loved to terrorize his younger cousins with pranks.  Dominic loved to tell stories and sometimes you couldn't tell if his stories were real or he was just story telling.  He also enjoyed hanging out with his cousins and friends, shooting hoops and listening to music.  Dominic had a special bond with his cousin Bear. As a young boy, he was given the nickname, "Pickles", but only his Auntie Michelle was allowed to use it. Although gone from this life to soon, Dominic will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Dominic is survived by his children, Davien Alexander and Devyn Alexis; his parents, Celeste Guinn and Gary "Tony" Buehner Jr., both of Naytahwaush; grandparents, Ruby Buehner of Naytahwaush and Betty (Gerald) Nadeau of Belcourt, ND; four brothers: Christian Buehner of Naytahwaush, Michael (Lillian) Buehner of Grafton, ND, Anthony Buehner of Fargo, ND, and Donovan Murray of Naytahwaush; two sisters, Maya Buehner of Fargo and Misty Murray of Naytahwaush; four uncles: Myrl Gjestrum and Marc (Angela) Gjestrum both of Yakima, WA, Lawrence (Christy Davis) Peltier and Clarence Peltier, both of Belcourt; three aunts, Michelle (Smokey) Wadena of Naytahwaush, Tonya Peltier of Belcourt, and Felishia Peltier also of Belcourt; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Gary Buehner Sr.; great grandma, Mary Peltier; and three aunts: Misty Peltier, Cynthia Gjestrum and Cyrlene Foster.

Funeral Services will be held from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at the Old Community Center in Naytahwaush, MN. Burial will be in the Samuel Memorial Episcopal Cemetery in Naytahwaush, MN.
