Dolores Azure, age 85, of Mahnomen, MN, died Monday, February 1, 2016, at the Mahnomen Health Center Nursing Home.

Dolores Mae Hasbrook was born June 29, 1930, to Arthur and Agnes Hasbrook. She was born, raised and attended school in Drake, ND. As a young lady, Dolores moved to the Minneapolis, MN, area where she worked various service jobs. While living in Minneapolis, she met C. Benjamin Azure and they were united in marriage on June 8, 1963. The couple made their home in the metro area until moving to Roy Lake in 1979. Ben passed away in 2010 and Dolores continued to live in their home until she entered the nursing home in September of 2014.

Dolores was quite a character, with a witty personality and a naughty joke. She loved to read, tell stories and visit. She enjoyed her grandkids and great grandkids immensely. Dolores kept busy knitting, crocheting and working puzzle books until her eyesight waned.

Dolores is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Bert) LaFriniere of Mahnomen. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sons: Jim, Bob and Ben; two brothers and one sister.
