Obituary

Dolly Hagemeister, age 88, of Twin Valley, Minnesota, died Friday, March 12, 2010, in her home.

Dolly Maisel was born April 28, 1921 in Eddy County near McHenry, North Dakota, the daughter of John and Minnie (Schultz) Maisel. She was raised and attended school in that area. On February 2, 1940, Dolly was united in marriage to Frank Johnson in Devils Lake, North Dakota. They farmed in the Grand Harbor community and had two children. On June 18, 1949, Dolly was married to Ron Morken at Minnewaukan, North Dakota. They made their home in Fargo, North Dakota where she was employed at the Fargo Veterans Hospital for a number of years. Ron died in 1978. She married Lyle Hagemeister in 1980 and they made their home north of Twin Valley. On October 22, 1993, Dolly and Byron Lindteigen were married and have made their home near Twin Valley, since that time.

Dolly was a true animal lover. At Twin Valley she raised both goats and dogs. If she didn't sell her dogs she was known to give them away. She also loved to garden and raise flowers on her small farm near town. She enjoyed canning and also quilting when she had time.

Dolly is survived by her husband Byron, Twin Valley, MN; one daughter Darlene Brown, Finksberg, MD; one son, Frank (Edie) Johnson, Devils Lake, ND; two sisters, Rachael Johnson and Doris Overby; two brothers, John Maisel and Willard Maisel; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by parents, her husbands Ron and Lyle, five brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services was Tuesday March 16th at 10:00am in the Anderson Funeral Home, Twin Valley, Minnesota. Visitation was 1 hour before services at the funeral home. Burial was in the Devils Lake Cemetery, Devils Lake, North Dakota.
