Derald "Boozie" Keezer, age 75 of Waubun, MN, died on Friday, November 12, 2021, at his home.

Derald Wayne Keezer was born April 15, 1946, in Cass Lake, MN, the son of Robert Keezer and Sophie Waukazo.  His early years were spent in the Minneapolis, MN, metro.  Derald met Sandra Robinson and they were united in marriage in 1965.  Together they had three children.  He later moved to the White Earth Indian Reservation to make his home and added two additional daughters and two sons.

Boozie liked the simpler things in life and lived off the land.  He was a true outdoorsman, logging, ricing, maple syruping, and leeching to name a few.  He was at his best when he was in the great outdoors and one with nature.  Boozie had many talents that helped him provide for his family all these years.  In his spare time, he carved diamond willow canes and enjoyed whittling in general.  He also had a great sense of humor and loved spending time with his family, especially all those grandchildren.  He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Boozie is survived by his children: Darryl (Jodi) Keezer, Douglas (Jody) Keezer, Robin Keezer, Danielle Keezer and Ira Keezer; step-children: Ron Rock, Robie Rock and Veronica Rock; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; companion, Sandi Keezer; siblings: Tom Keezer, Mike (Patty) Keezer, Louie Fox, Jr., Henry Monroe, David Monroe, and Dennis Monroe; sister-in-law, Pam Keezer; nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Denise Keezer; son, Wayne Keezer; grandson, Samuel Keezer; step-son, Roland Rock; brother, Robert "Tony" Keezer; and sister, Suzie Keezer.

Services for Derald will be held in the Spring of 2022.
