Dennis A Allrich's Obituary
Dennis Allrich, age 61, of Twin Valley, MN, died Wednesday, October 19, 2011 in the Center of Human Environment, Mahnomen, MN.
Dennis A. Allrich was born March 5, 1950 the son of Walter and Tena (Pederson) Allrich at Ada, MN. He grew up on the family farm northeast of Twin Valley. Dennis was baptized and later confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Strand Township. He attended school in Twin Valley where he graduated with the class of 1969. After graduating, he was employed with Eid Construction in Fargo, ND for a few years. In the fall of 1971, Dennis began working for Armand and Peggy Anderson at Valley Supply in Twin Valley. He was employed there for over 20 years working as a carpet and linoleum installer and also in the hardware store. On July 14, 1973 he married Mae Stende in Aspelund Lutheran Church where he remained a member until the time of his death. Dennis and Mae made their home in Twin Valley and raised their four children together. During the mid and late 1990's Dennis worked in the Fargo area for a furniture manufacturer company and also for Petro Oil. On July 30, 2000 he married Julie Norman and they made their home in Hawley, MN for several years. Dennis moved back to Twin Valley in 2005 where he has lived for the past few years.
Dennis enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and spending time on the family farm. He also loved the time he spent with his kids on his motorcycle.
He is survived by two daughters, Wendy Johnson of Dwight, ND; and Karen Allrich of Lidgerwood, ND; one son, Jeff of Fargo, ND; three brothers: Melvin (Bonnie) of Dassel, MN, Roger (Carol) of Osceola, WI and Harold (Jean) of Twin Valley, MN; and 11 grandchildren.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Cynthia.
Funeral Services were held Monday, Oct. 24th at 1:00pm at the Aspelund Lutheran Church, Flom, MN. Visitation was Sunday from 3:00pm until 5:00pm with a family service at 5:00pm in the Anderson Funeral Home, Twin Valley, MN. Pastor Al Brooks was officiating with Peggy Hanson as organist. Tanya Kemper and Monica Winter sang. Pallbearers are Harold Allrich, Roger Allrich, Melvin Allrich, Marlow Allrich, Eric Thomas, Robert DeGroat, Darby Miller, Nathan Norman and Myron Anderson
Interment was in the Aspelund Lutheran Cemetery, Flom, MN
