Delray Joseph Bellecourt "Waabosh Kwa Makoonce" (Polar Bear Cub), age 21, of Minneapolis, MN, died unexpectedly, June 9, 2020.

Delray Joseph Bellcourt was born on November 27, 1998, in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Marvin Bellecourt and Elba Negron. He grew up in southside Minneapolis, proudly graduating from South High. Delray enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and was especially close to his nieces and nephews.  He had a genuine love of people, was always polite, had a thankful heart, and appreciated what he had in life. Delray also enjoyed gatherings and was an avid sports fan. He was employed as a laborer in construction. Delray will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Delray is survived by his father, Marvin Bellecourt (Jamie Brown); his mother, Elba Negron; siblings: Lawrencia, Grace, Kyle, Dava, David III, Brianna, Tianna, Marvin and Macy; paternal grandmother, Sharon Benjamin; step grandfather, Bud Day; his maternal grandmother, Isabelle Walters; nieces and nephews: Amelia, Jesse, Andrew, Stash, Scarlett and Le'Laanii; several aunts and uncles; and other relatives and friends.

Delray was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Marvin Rogers; maternal grandmother, Consuello Gonzalez; and maternal grandfather, Paul Jubera.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. at the Assembly of God Church, White Earth, MN.  Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in White Earth, directly following the service.
