Obituary

Delores Edna Gnadt, 91, of Ada, MN, died Saturday, November 17, 2012, at Bridges Care Community, Ada, MN.

She was born on November 20, 1920, to Ira and Bertha (Bullard) Geiselhart at Jefferson, Iowa. Her family moved to the Bertha and Sebeka, MN area when she was a child. Delores' family settled in the Lockhart, MN area. Following her schooling, Delores worked on the family farm and for area families.
On August 31, 1943, Delores was married to John "Jack" Gnadt at Ada. They lived in Lockhart and Delores was most proud of the four children she and Jack raised. They spent a year in Tacoma, WA, while Jack worked in the shipyards during WWII. Delores worked hard all her life. She drove farm truck for Erickson's Farm, baby sat for neighbors and drove school bus for 35 years. After 59 years of marriage, Jack died on June 30, 2002. Delores continued to live in Lockhart until 2003, when she moved to Halstad. Delores developed a great relationship with her neighbors and enjoyed their company. On October 6, 2012, she entered the Bridges Care Community, Ada, and was under the loving care of Red River Valley Hospice.

Delores was a member of First English Lutheran Church, Lockhart, and a member with over 50 years of service with the VFW auxiliary. She loved to stay busy with various activities like bowling, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, card games, embroidery, fishing, cooking and drives in the country. Delores was famous for her canning, especially her dill pickles. Above all else, Delores loved being with her family. May God bless her memory.
Delores is survived by her children: Lyle (JoAnn) Geiselhart, Fisher, MN; DeWayne (Sharyl), Detroit Lakes, MN; Dennis, Lockhart, MN; Debra (Gerry) Hage, Halstad, MN; 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren; several cousins, nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, "Jack", one grandson, Bruce Gnadt; five brothers and three sisters

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 24, 2012, at 2 PM in Zion Lutheran Church, Ada, MN.
Visitation: Friday, November 23, 2012, from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 6:30 PM in Fredrikson Funeral Home, Ada, MN.
Burial:Pleasant View Cemetery, rural Ada, MN.
