Debbie Deitz, 65, Halstad, MN, died Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at the Halstad Living Center, Halstad, MN.

Debra Jane was born on April 9, 1954 to Jack and Beverly (Lee) Deitz in Moorhead, MN. She grew up in Halstad where she graduated from Halstad High School. Debbie furthered her education at Moorhead State technical college, Moorhead, MN. After graduating she worked at Gate City Savings. Debbie went on to work at CHS Inc. in Grandin, ND for 33 years as an accounting specialist.

Debbie loved the outdoors; she enjoyed the sunshine and being at the lake. Her favorite place was at her parent's farm; she called it her "peaceful place". She was a good friend who always put others first.

She is survived by her mother, Beverly, two sisters: Pamela (Gregg) Holte, Shelly, MN, and Kathy (Tom) Maroney, Halstad, several nieces and nephews.  Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Jack in 2010.

Funeral: 11:00AM, Friday, August 2, 2019, at Halstad Lutheran Church, Halstad, MN.

Visitation: One hour before the service.

Burial: Quincy Cemetery, rural Grandin, ND.

In lieu of flowers the family would like memorials to Hospice of the Red River Valley.
