Deanna I. Larson, 80, Ada, MN, died Thursday, April 25, 2019, with her family at her side at Benedictine Care Community, Ada. MN.

Deanna was born on March 21, 1939, at Ada, the daughter of Harold and Mildred (Burns) Habeck . She was raised and lived most of her life in Ada. She was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church, Ada, MN. She graduated from Ada High School in 1957 and moved to the Twin Cities where she worked for a short time before moving back to Ada. She was united in marriage to Corman Larson in September of 1957.

Deanna and Corman took over the family farm operation after their marriage. They continued the farming operation and raised their family there. Following the '97 flood Deanna moved into Ada. She moved to Mission Court Assisted Living in 2013 and recently became a resident at Benedictine Care Community.

Deanna was active at Grace Lutheran Church as a Sunday School Teacher, in the Ladies Aid, choir and Bell Choir. She was also an adult leader for several years with the Hegne Hustlers 4-H club. She enjoyed taking the state fair winners to the state fair in her motor home.

She enjoyed planning and preparing for family get-togethers and always had coffee and a sweet to offer friends and family who stopped by for a visit.

She loved dogs, horses and baby animals that needed nurturing. Other interests included playing the piano, reading, flower gardening, shopping on QVC, going out with friends and traveling. She took many bus trips and three trips to Israel.

Deanna is survived by her children: Loni (Randy) Tufton, Ada, MN; Cory (Deb) Larson, Bemidji, MN; Jana (Dan) Bartholomay, Sheldon, ND; Kelly (Bridget) Larson, Pequot Lakes, MN, 9 grandchildren: JJ (Tara) Teal, Ada, MN; Andy Teal (Hilary Myers), Ada, MN; Ivy Tufton, Ada, MN; Leah (Scott) Gilbert, Lisbon, ND; Justin Bartholomay, Sheldon, ND; Austin Bartholomay, Sheldon, ND; Dylan, Jessica and Chase Larson all of Pequot Lakes, MN; 5 step grandchildren: Marsha (Lynn) Verville, Walhalla, ND; Tom (Lissie) Schoenborn, Mahnomen, MN; Lori Schoenborn, Rosemount, MN; Mary (Tyler) Richter, North St. Paul, MN; Jessica (Travis) Gentz, Andover, MN; 6 great-grandchildren: Blake and Cole Teal; Reece Teal; Ryker, TJ, and Lenox Gilbert, 10 step great grandchildren: Owen and Warren Richter, Jordan Gentz, Brett and Ally Verville, Gradyn, Paislee, and Lakelyn Schoenborn, and Kyla and Isabella Schoenborn, siblings: Tom (Amy) Habeck, Twin Valley, MN; Denny (Kim) Habeck, Ada, MN; and her sister-in-law Pat Habeck, Belle Fourche, SD. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother: Jerry Habeck, and infant niece-Terry Habeck.

Funeral: 11:00AM, Friday, May 3, 2019, at Grace Lutheran Church, Ada, MN.

Visitation: Thursday from 5:00PM to 7:00PM with a 6:30PM prayer service at Fredrikson-Ganje Funeral Home, Ada, MN.

Burial: Ada Municipal Cemetery, Ada, MN.
