David Stevens, age 92, of Twin Valley, Minnesota, died Friday, January 9, 2009 in the Twin Valley Living Center there.

David John Stevens was born June 9, 1916, the son of William and Ada (Davidson) Stevens on the family farm southwest of Gary, Minnesota.
As a boy, he attended country school in that area. As a young man, David farmed with his father and later he and his brother took over the farm. He continued to operate the farm until the early 1980's when he retired. David lived with his nephew, Robert and Pat Yost in Mahnomen, Minnesota, for a number of years. He moved into the Twin Valley Living Center in February of 2008.

David enjoyed the many aspects of farming. He also enjoyed visiting with his neighbors, and spending time with his nieces and nephews. While living with Robert and Pat, he also had the opportunity to travel to several parts of the country. In David's spare time, he loved to fish, and he was quite good at it.

David is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services was held Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 2:00pm in the Twin Valley Living Center, Twin Valley.
