David William Mudderman died June 3, 2024 at his home in Halstad, MN. He was born July 4, 1955, in Fargo, ND to Harold and Carol (Sather) Mudderman. He graduated from Moorhead High School in 1973.  Coursework at Moorhead State University was followed by technical training. David worked construction, industrial and trade jobs in the Fargo and Barnesville areas. He moved to near Perley, MN where he was employed in agricultural support jobs. Then for twenty years David lived and worked at Hellerud Farms west of Ada, MN. In 2017, health issues contributed to his retirement to Halstad, MN joining a community of friends in a trailer court on the southwest of town.

Growing up in Moorhead with summers at Cotton Lake near Detroit Lakes, MN, he developed a passion for fishing. Needing to cook the fish, he became a skilled cook at grilling that expanded to creations in the kitchen. David enjoyed motorcycles and other mechanical things like outboard motors. He was also a voracious reader. As health changed in retirement, he did more crafts including labels to pennies that he handed out. Throughout his life he was a religious fan of the Minnesota Vikings, especially when they won.

David is survived by two brothers, Denis (Rochert, MN) and Paul (Fargo, ND), a sister Nancy (Rochester, MN), a nephew Miles Mudderman, and cousins. His ashes were buried at Riverside Cemetery in Moorhead, MN.
