David W. Kurz's Obituary
David W. Kurz, 29, of Crookston, MN, died Saturday, May 1 2010, near Ashland, WI, of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
David Wallace Kurz was born January 3, 1981, at Crookston, the son of David and Jan Kurz. He attended school in Fertile, MN, and Climax, MN, before graduating from Climax High School. He was active in school and participated in wrestling and football. He had worked for Randy Gast during high school. He had also worked for area farmers including, Dale Hoff, Darly Larson, Brian Borge, and also Dahlgren's. He was currently working in Wisconsin installing fiber optic cable. David was united in marriage to Carrie Munn on June 28, 2003.
While in school, David loved wrestling and playing football. David loved the great outdoors. David love to spend time with family and friends hunting and fishing. Fall deer hunting was always a highlight for David. David's children will have many special memories of their family camping trips together. David developed into a reliable and hard working man. His children were his pride and joy. David will be deeply missed by family and friends.
David is survived by his children, Dallas Wallace, Ada, MN, Lindsey and Mariah Kurz, Climax, MN, his mother, Jan Kurz (Ralph Menke) Beltrami, MN, his father David Kurz, Warren, MN, brothers, Mike Razmyslowski, Fosston, MN, Ray (Sheila) Razmyslowski, Climax, MN, Robin Razmyslowski, Moose Lake, MN, David Joe Razmyslowski, Fertile, MN, and Frank Kurz, Fargo, ND, his nieces, Shanel Finke, Christina Koolz, Brianna Razmyslowski, Kylie Hoglund, Ashley Finke, and nephews, Scott Razmyslowski, Dustin Klooz, Logen Kurz, two great nephews, Jakody Lewis and Landon Klooz, and his many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Maggie and Arthur Begley, Ruth and Frank Kurz, and an aunt, Ruth Bohach. David is also remembered by special people, Lola & Gene Dudgeon, Keith & Alice Simon, and Terry Horgeshimer, who was like a second Mom.
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Resurrection Free Lutheran Church, Beltrami, MN.
Visitation: Friday from 5:00-7:00PM, with a 7PM prayer service at Erikson-Vik Funeral Home, Fertile, MN.
Burial: Fairview Cemetery, Beltrami, MN.
