Darlene Kay Ness
I came into this world on April 2, 1951, to Kenneth and Della Kroshus, in Ada, MN. They blessed me with a little sister, Karen (Peppel) Kroshus, a brother, Howard Kroshus and the youngest of the bunch, Debbie (Gordon) Kroshus. I passed on March 30th, 2017, surrounded by family at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota.
People say I did brilliant things with my life but I will argue with them and say that my greatest achievement was being the mother to four of the best gifts God could grant me with. In 1975, I was blessed with Eric Ness, then in 1979 with Bryan Ness, then in 1981 with Aaron Ness, and finally in 1986 with Patrick Ness. In 1969, I married Richard Bruce Ness and although Rick and I were not destined for a lifetime of love together, he always held a special place in my heart.
God continued to bless me and gave me six beautiful grandchildren. Bryan and his wife Nicole blessed me with Isabella, Tatum and Elijah. Eric and Rachel blessed me with Vera and Theo and finally Aaron and Pam blessed me with Monica. I know all my grandchildren are destined for greatness and will move mountains if need be.
I traveled the world and spent thirteen years living in Indonesia with my family and then returned to the Ada area where I worked at Borup Ag, the Nursing Home in Ada and finally the Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen for many years.
I am now in a better place. I am spending time catching up with my parents, Kenneth and Della, my sister, Karen and my brother, Howard, my grandchild, Isabella, and my nephew, Marcus James Gordon. They greeted me with open arms when I arrived.
All I can say now is, don't worry about me. I am walking and running through fields of flowers and I will always be with you all. I am with you on every breeze, every whisper of the butterfly's wing and in every sunrise and ray of light. And, when all else fails, never forget, it is what it is.
