Danny Lampton, 23, of Twin Valley, MN died Friday, March 29, 2013 in his home after a year and half courageous battle with synovial sarcoma cancer.

Daniel Albert Lampton was born April 18, 1989 to Donald and Darlene (Kuehn) Lampton in Mahnomen, MN. He was baptized and confirmed his Catholic faith in St. William Catholic Church. Danny was raised and lived his life in Twin Valley, where he attended school, graduating from Norman County East High School with the class of 2008. After graduation, Danny worked for Sid and Val Riepe working with livestock and general farm labor. He later was employed on the John Seeger farm helping with farm work. Danny was also employed by the Norman County East School District as a custodian as well as working with the City of Twin Valley in general maintenance.

Danny's favorite pastimes included riding 4-wheeler in the countryside and working with horses, riding his horse, Blaze, whenever possible. Danny was an active member of the Twin Valley Riders Club since he was 12 years old. He also enjoyed working on cars with the help of his friends, in his spare time and truly treasured the time he spent on the farm with his aunt Marion, near Gary, since he was a child. Danny is dearly loved and his memory will forever be cherished by his family and his friends.

Danny is survived by his parents, Donald and Darlene Lampton of Twin Valley, MN; brothers, David (Beth) Lampton and Mike (Aleisha Peabody) Lampton all of Twin Valley, MN; sisters, Cindy (Wayne) Bekkerus and Mandy (Jason) Begg all of Twin Valley, MN and Heather (Cory Brandt) Lampton of Moorhead, MN; godmother, Marion Lisburg and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and great-nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by all four grandparents, four uncles and one aunt.

Mass of Christian Burial was Friday, April 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in St. William Catholic Church, Twin Valley, MN. Visitation was Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Family Service at 7:00 p.m. all in the church. Special music for the family service was provided by Monica Winter and Ken MacDonald. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial was Fr. Joe DeCrans with Monica Winter serving as organist and Karen Bergstrom as vocalist. Pallbearers were David Lampton, Mike Lampton, Wayne Bekkerus, Jason Begg, Cory Brandt and Paul Bekkerus. Honorary pallbearers were all of his nieces, nephews and all of his special friends.

Interment was in St. William Catholic Cemetery, Twin Valley.
