Daniel Horn, age 30, of Twin Valley, Minnesota, died Tuesday, December 9th, 2008, as a result of an auto accident.
Daniel Joseph Horn was born June 5th, 1978, the son of Harvey and Sandra (Anderson) Horn in Jackson, Minnesota, where he was also baptized. As a young man, Dan confirmed his faith in Wild Rice Lutheran Church near Twin Valley, Minnesota. Dan was raised in Ada, Minnesota where he attended school and graduated from Ada-Borup High School with the class of 1996. He worked part-time for his brother, Matt in the trucking business as well as being employed by area farmers during the beet harvest. On July 27, 2001, Dan was united in marriage to Jennifer Flath in Mahnomen, Minnesota. The couple made their home in Shelly, Minnesota for a short time, moving to Twin Valley in September of 2002, where they have continued to live until the time of his death.
Dan's favorite past times included driving, bow hunting, camping and snowmobiling, but the time he treasured the most was the time he spent with his family and three children.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Jennifer of Twin Valley, MN; son Daniel, and daughters, Tori and Emily all at home; parents, Harvey and Sandra Horn of Twin Valley, MN; brother, Matthew (Heidi) Horn of Perley, MN; sister, Krystal Horn of Twin Valley, MN; paternal grandmother, Florence Horn of Twin Valley, MN; mother-in-law, Jewely Robons, Park Rapids, MN, father-in-law, Brad Smith, Fargo, ND; a sister-in-law, Kesha Smith of Park Rapids, MN; eight aunts and uncles; two nephews , one niece and many cousins.
He is preceded in death by one brother, paternal grandfather and maternal grandparents.
Funeral Services was held on Saturday, December 13th, 2008, at 11:00 AM in Wild Rice Lutheran Church, rural Twin Valley, Minnesota. Officiating was Pastor Chad Peterson with Jolee Habedank serving as organist and Robin Larson serving as vocalist. Pallbearers were Jared Visser, Chad Larson, Andy Carrisalez, Craig Balvik, Carl Swenson, Bryan Barrera, Christian Barrera, Andy Williams and Ryan Holm.
Interment was in Wild Rice Lutheran Cemetery, Twin Valley.
