Dale Henry Hickman, 74, of Erskine, MN, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023.

Dale was born on March 19, 1949, in Northwood, ND, to parents Leslie and Lorraine (Eider) Hickman.

Dale married Terry Lea Anderson on January 22, 1970, in El Paso, TX, with the Reverend James P. North presiding.  They settled in Mentor, MN, following Dale's Army service and later moved to Winger, MN.  Dale and Terry were blessed with three sons.

Dale was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather.  He served in the United States Army from March 20, 1969, through March 19, 1971.  He worked as the Fertilizer Manager for the Winger Farmers Co-op Elevator for 38 years before his retirement.  Dale also spent many years serving his community on the Winger Volunteer Fire Department, Winger Township Board, McIntosh/Winger and Win-E-Mac School Boards, and the Winger American Legion where he was Post Commander for many years.

Dale enjoyed old cars, old tractors, vintage snowmobiles, camping, fishing and time with family and his favorite hunting and fishing buddy, Delton Anderson.  He also attended as many of his children's and grandchildren's activities as he was able.

Dale is survived by his wife, Terry; sons Jordan (Nancy) and Jesse (Alyssa); grandchildren Hope, Tiana, Kayleigh, Anton, Darby, Adylaide, and Ainsley; siblings Carole (Jim), Mary and Lloyd; and sister-in-law Carol Anderson.  Dale was preceded in death by his father Leslie, mother Lorraine, son Joshua, brother Floyd, and brother-in-law Delton Anderson.

Dale's memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 29, 2023, at Anderson Family Funeral Home in Mahnomen, MN.

Inurnment will be held at the Rodnes Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Erskine, MN.
