Curtis Bueng, age 67, of Twin Valley, MN, died Saturday, February 8, 2014, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Curtis DeLyle Bueng, the son of George and Anna (Olson) Bueng, was born in Ada, MN, on March 14, 1946. He grew up in Twin Valley and graduated from Twin Valley High School in 1964. As a young man, Curtis worked for a farmer near Arthur, ND, before enlisting in the Army Reserves. On December 14, 1968, Curtis was united in marriage to Barbara Braseth in Shelly, MN. The couple began their life together in a starter home in Twin Valley while Curtis tediously built their home over the next several years. Curtis was employed with Meinecke-Johnson Construction in Fargo for over 45 years. He assisted in building the West Acres Shopping Mall, the Red Hawks Baseball Stadium and many other well know businesses in the Fargo-Moorhead area. He recently retired but continued to stay active with smaller woodworking projects.
Curtis enjoyed the outdoors, being at the lake, and walks in the woods. He liked going to movies and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Curtis had a true passion for old cars. He loved just cruising around and took exceptional pride in his 1959 Ford Fairlane. He was also a talented woodworker, and liked to tinker on small projects. He built pieces of furniture for his family, which they will treasure forever.

Curtis is survived by his wife, Barbara, of Twin Valley; two children, Angela (Paul) Domier of Mahnomen and Brian Bueng of North Moorhead, MN; four grandchildren: Brittney, Tasha, and Makenna Domier, and Sean Bueng; five brothers: Garfield (Lily) of Twin Valley, Arnold "Bud" (Julia) of Dilworth, MN, Dennis (Fran) of Twin Valley, Harlan (Sylvia) of Twin Valley, and Bruce (Geraldine) of Valley City, ND; two sisters, Marlys (Bob) Voss of Hawley, MN, and Clarrisa "Dolly" (Terry) Meyer of Hankinson, ND; mother-in-law, Ardis Braseth of Moorhead, MN, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, George Jr., and Parnell; one sister, Clarice; father-in-law, Roald Braseth and brother-in-law, Devere Preston.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2014, at Zion Lutheran Church in Twin Valley. Serving as pallbearers were Randy Bueng, Conrad Bueng, Paul Domier, Mike Bueng, Jody Bueng and Leslie Bueng. Honorary bearers were Ray Schultz, Allen Pederson and all of Curtis' nieces and nephews. Visitation was held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at the church. Inurnment will be held at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in the spring.
