Craig "CJ" Grivno Jr., 27, Ada, MN, died Friday, November 4, 2016, at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.

Craig "CJ" Lee Grivno, Jr. was born on October 30, 1989, in Mahnomen, MN, to Craig and Barbara (Dyrdahl) Grivno. CJ walked into the loving arms of his Lord, on Friday November 4, 2016, at the age of 27.

CJ was baptized and raised in faith at St. John's Lutheran Church, Green Meadow, rural Ada, where he was later confirmed as a child of God forever. He attended Ada-Borup Schools and graduated in 2008. CJ was a very talented writer throughout his life. Back in fourth grade, he wrote a poem called "Seasons" that was published in a book called "Anthology of Poetry by Young Americans", which was in contention for national recognition. Along with being a great author, CJ was active in school activities such as FFA, football and golf. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling with his family and friends. CJ had a deep appreciation and love of music and especially for classic rock. That appreciation was instilled in him from his parents.

Through his adult life, CJ was employed by several local businesses which included Lee Brothers, Kelly's Chrysler, Aldrich Farms and Four Corners Siding.

CJ had a great personality, contagious sense of humor and a genuine kind heart. He could put a smile on anyone's face just by sharing his "smirk". All those that were fortunate to know CJ, shared in his humorous side. CJ could always brighten your spirits just simply by being himself. He had a heart that cared deeply for those he loved including family, friends and animals. CJ was taken from us before he had a chance to grow and share his true potential. When you think of CJ, always remember him for his love of life and for those around him. Celebrate him in your memories and live as he did… to the fullest. Craig "CJ" Lee Grivno, Jr. is survived by his parents Craig and Barbara (Dyrdahl) Grivno, grandmothers Verna (Horn) Grivno, and Lillian (Dyrdahl) Thompson, uncles and aunts: Gerry and Debra (Hess) Grivno, all of Ada, MN. Julie (Grivno) and Dan Bjorklund, Hillsboro, ND, Lori (Grivno) VanderLinden, Ada, MN, Scott and Laurie (Nielson) Grivno, Harwood, ND, Patricia (Grivno) and John Sargent, Fargo, ND, Kristi (Grivno) and Wayne Wilkens, Ada, MN, Debra Johnson, Zumbrota, MN, Brenda (Dyrdahl) and Will Marshall, East Grand Forks, Saundra (Dyrdahl) and Gerald Albertson, Flom MN, David Dyrdahl, Ada, MN, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandparents LeRoy G. Grivno and Donald Dyrdahl, and uncles Timmy, John, and Mark Dyrdahl.

Funeral: 3:00PM Saturday, November 12, 2016, at Fredrikson-Ganje Funeral Home, Ada, MN.

Visitation: From 1:00PM to 3:00PM Saturday at the funeral home.
