Craig Korsgaden, age 49, of Twin Valley, Minnesota, died Wednesday, March 28, 2012 in Sanford Health System, Fargo, North Dakota, due to injuries from a fall in his home.
Craig Allen Korsgaden was born March 12, 1963, the son of Gordon and Arlene (Broers) Korsgaden in Ada, Minnesota. Craig was baptized and confirmed his faith at Zion Lutheran Church. He was raised in Twin Valley where he attended school, graduating with the class of 1981. After graduation, Craig was employed for two years at Garberg's Foods in Twin Valley. He was later employed with Abbott-Arne-Schwindt Construction Inc., as a heavy equipment operator in North Dakota and South Dakota, a position he had held for the past 29 years.
Craig's favorite past times included snomobiling, sports and reading. He was a member of the Local 49ers Union and a former member of the Twin Valley Moonshiners snomobile club. Craig was known for his good natured personality and kindness. Family was very important to Craig. He treasured the time he spent with them and was very proud of his nieces and nephew. Craig will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Craig is survived by his mother, Arlene Korsgaden and brother, Kevin (Angie) Korsgaden all of Twin Valley, MN; nieces, Jessica (Tim) Liebl and Kayla Korsgaden and nephew Michael Korsgaden; aunts, an uncle and several cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, Gordon and his grandparents.
Funeral Services were held on Monday, April 2nd, 2012 at 11:00 AM in Zion Lutheran Church, Twin Valley. Visitation was Sunday, April 1st from 2 to 5 with a Prayer Service at 4:30 in the Anderson Funeral Home, Twin Valley. Visitation was also one hour prior to service at the church on Monday. Officiating was Pastor Anne Pairan with Danette Gwin serving as organist and Matt Miller serving as vocalist. Pallbearers was Peter Naugle, Matthew Naugle, Lonnie Broers, Chisum Broers, Lee Halvorson, Gary Korsgaden and Greg Korsgaden.
Interment was in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Twin Valley.
