Corinne Elizabeth Bruggeman was born on September 14, 1923 in Rosedale Township, Mahnomen, MN. She was the oldest of nine children born to Arthur and Caroline (Klinkhammer) Krebsbach. She attended country school near Mahnomen and at age 14 she moved to Mahnomen to live with her uncle and aunt and completed school through the eighth grade there.
On September 5, 1942, she was united in marriage to Loren Bruggeman in Minneapolis, MN. They lived in Minneapolis and South St. Paul, MN until 1943 when they returned to Mahnomen.
Corinne was a member and Parish Aide of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Mahnomen and was very devout in her faith.
She took pride in her home; was an excellent cook and made scrumptious pastries. Corinne had a large garden and canned all types of fruits and vegetables. When she was very young she worked for several families as a housekeeper and for many years was the pastry cook at several local restaurants, including the Corner Café, Kjos Café, The Dairy Bar and the Red Apple Café.
Corinne took great pride in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She closely followed the grandchildren in their sports activates by listening to the radio broadcasts. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, quilting and visiting with her friends. She always had a quick wit, loved cute stories and had a sense of humor to the end.
Surviving Corinne are one son, Pat and his wife Vanessa of Alexandria, MN; four daughters and their husbands: Judy and Jerry Binford of Laverne, MN; Peggy and Dick Noll; Nancy and Joe Reller, both of Mahnomen; Jane and Ron Kemper of Waubun, MN; two sisters: Lorraine Svobodny, Twin Valley, MN; Carol Pouppirt, Littleton, CO; two brothers: Arthur Jr., also of Littleton; Michael and Renay; Mahnomen; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Corinne was preceded in death by her husband, Loren; her granddaughter, Madonna Noll; her parents; one sister, Delores Wille and three brothers: Delmar, Cyril and John.
