Cora Amundson, 92, Ulen, MN died Wednesday August 2, 2006, in the Twin Valley Living Center, Twin Valley, MN
Cora Kraakmo was born June 12, 1914, near Dooley, MT, the daughter of Christopher and Clara (Saby) Kraakmo. As a child she moved with her family to the Faith, MN, community where she was raised. She attended country school as a girl and later as a young lady she did housekeeping for area families. On July 5, 1939, she was united in marriage to Erling Amundson at Ulen, MN. They made their home on a farm northwest of Ulen. She was active on the farm with her husband and while raising her children. After Erling's death in 1994, Cora had continued to make her home their until a few months ago when she became a resident of the Twin Valley Living Center.
Cora loved gardening and her flower gardens. She also enjoyed watching and feeding her wild birds and going for drives through the country. Over the years, Cora was active in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, her circle and the ladies aid. She was also in the Homemaker's Club.
She is survived by one daughter, Corinne Amundson, Fargo, ND and one son, Paul, Ulen, MN
Cora was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers, Oscar, Iver, and Kenneth, and one sister, Juliet Otterson.
