Colleen Okerson, age 87, of Maplewood, MN, formerly Mahnomen, MN, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

Colleen was raised in Mahnomen, MN, and then lived for many years in Maplewood, MN, raising her family. She was a member of the American Legion and VFW Woman's Auxiliaries and was a Business Administrator for Innsbrook Nursing Home. As a member of the greatest generation, we thank you mom for your strength, loving memories and traditions that will carry on for generations to come. Collen is survived by her children, Mark (Lisa), Kathy (Frank) Boyer, Stephanie Okerson, Barbara (Jim) Swifka, Melissa Okerson, Natalie (Rolland "Bud") Mallin, and Anita (Earl) Pratt; daughter-in-law Susan Okerson and son-in-law Gary Russell; 21 grand children, 15 great-grandchildren, 4 great great-grandchildren; Sister Carol Johnson and brothers Duane, Phillip, and Steven Bellefeuille. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Tom, and son-in-law Carl Fultz.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at the Roseville Memorial Chapel, Roseville, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Assumption Catholic Church in Callaway, MN. Additional time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.  Burial will be held in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Mahnomen, MN.
