Colette Holland, age 56, of Crookston, MN, formerly of Twin Valley, MN, died Sunday, October 21, 2012 at her residence.

Colette Orae Holland, daughter of Orris Holland and Mable Rognlie, was born on September 22, 1956 in Ada, MN. She grew up in the Ada area and attended school there. In 1973 Colette married Curtis Orsland and the couple made their home in Shelly, MN. For several years, Colette worked as a waitress while raising their three children; Carla, Christopher and Carissa. In the late 1980's, Colette and the kids moved to Halstad, MN, where she met Raymond Kluck. Colette and Raymond were united in marriage and were blessed with one son, Bobby. A few years later, Colette moved to Twin Valley to make her home with her children. She studied nursing at Thief River Falls Technical College and proudly became and EMT. Colette worked many years for Valley Housekeeping and the Twin Valley Living Center. She also served with the Twin Valley Rescue Squad until her health prevented her from doing so. In 2002, Colette moved to Crookston, MN to help care for her grandchildren.


Colette loved spending time with family and friends. She was often found singing Karaoke, watching wrestling and doing latch hook projects. She had beautiful collections of angels and precious stuffed animals. Colette cherished each of her grandchildren and had a special place in her heart for her dogs. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.


Colette is survived by her mother, Mable Rognlie of Moorhead, MN; father, Orris Holland of Denton, TX; two daughters, Carla (Jim) Pucel of Virginia, MN and Carissa (Sean) Hansen of Crookston; two sons, Christopher Orsland of Neillsville, MN and Bobby Kluck of Grand Forks, ND; three brothers: Wayne (Norma) Holland of Fargo, ND, Marshall Holland of Louisville, TX and Henry Holland of Denton, TX; three sisters: Diane Holland of Chaska, MN, Melody Holland of Twin Valley, and Christina Mae Luettger of Tampa Bay, FL. A dear friend she loved as a daughter, Kristen Wibbels of Twin Valley; 10 grandchildren: Shayne, Jaye, Kaylie, Alyssia, Joey, Hanako, Malakai, Kahnen, Nolan, and Kaleb; one great grandson, Connor; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Lady.


She was preceded in death by her grandparents and one granddaughter, Courtney.


Funeral Services were held on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Christian Outpost, rural Twin Valley, MN. Visitation was Thursday, October 25th, from 5-7 pm with a Prayer Service at 6:30 pm in the Anderson Funeral Home, Twin Valley. Visitation was also one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Officiating was Pastor Wayne Thom with special music provided by Steve and Tracy Swanson and Heidi Swanson serving as violinist. Pallbearers were Christopher Orsland, Bobby Kluck, Shayne Burnside, Jaye Burnside, Tabitha Sherer, Sean Hansen and Casey Ellingworth. Interment was at Twin Valley City Cemetery in Twin Valley.
