Cody Warren Christianson, 16, of Fertile, MN, died on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at Riverview Hospital, Crookston, MN. He was born on August 14, 1996, to Jon and Lindi (Reese) Christianson at Crookston, MN. Cody was baptized at Norman Lutheran Church, Bear Park, MN and confirmed his faith on June 17, 2012, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Fertile. He attended the Fertile-Beltrami School District until the winter of 2013, when he transferred to Red Lake Falls High School, Red Lake Falls, MN.
Cody was an active young man. Working with his father and brother, Cole, and several friends, in the family business, "Christianson Custom Services", brought him great pride and a sense of accomplishment. Being outdoors was Cody's life. Hunting deer, ducks, and geese were fall passions. Winter brought out the snowmobiles, snowboards, and hockey skates. Swamp logging, wakeboarding and tubing were summer activities. Animals of all kinds, especially Sandy (Cody's dog) and horses, revealed the gentle side of Cody. He was very athletic enjoying football, hockey, basketball, and leftyball. Cody had a tremendous love for his family and friends that was seen in his allegiance and presence in good and bad times.
Cody leaves behind his parents, Jon and Lindi, Fertile; his brother, Cole, Fertile; grandparents, Matt and Cheryl Reese, Mentor, MN and Lyla Christianson, Twin Valley, MN; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is united with his grandfather, Stanley Christianson; aunt and uncle, Beverly and Michael Phelps; cousin, Chase Christianson; and great-grandparents: Warren and Elsie Miller, William and Mary Reese, William and Alma Leines, and Bennie and Nellie Christianson.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 4, 2013, at 11 AM in the Concordia Lutheran Church, Fertile, MN.

Visitation will be on Sunday, March 3, 2013, from 3-5 PM with a Prayer Service at 4:30 PM at the Concordia Lutheran Church, Fertile, MN.

Burial will be in the Norman Lutheran Cemetery, Bear Park, Norman County, MN.
