Clark Edwin
Miller
Feb 12, 1943 — Jul 29, 2026
Twin Valley
Clark Miller, age 83, of Twin Valley, MN, passed away with family and friends by his side on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Heather's House HIA in Fargo, ND, following a courageous battle against stage 4 esophageal cancer.
Clark Edwin Miller was born on February 12, 1943, in Des Moines, IA, to Frank and Ela (Tow) Miller. He was raised in Gary, MN, and confirmed at Gary Lutheran Church. He attended Gary High school and graduated with the Class of 1961. A gifted athlete throughout his school years, Clark earned the nickname "The Duke" for his athletic ability and competitive spirit.
Following graduation, Clark moved to South Dakota, where he worked at missile sites and on oil rigs. During that time, he was united in marriage to Jessie Kidd. The couple later settled in Riverside, CA, where Clark built a long career as an aluminum tank machinist with Luxfer Gas Cylinders. After spending more than 45 years in California, he returned to Minnesota and made his home in Twin Valley, where he enjoyed his retirement years.
Clark was a talented handyman who could fix just about anything. He loved welding, tinkering, and taking on new projects, always determined to figure out how something worked. He enjoyed working on any project and inventing whatever he could but his favorite was solar panels. While living in California, he joined a bowling league after being inspired by his mother, and he proudly displayed the trophies he earned throughout the years at his home.
In retirement, Clark enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, like when Kay would surprise him with his favorite pineapple upside down cake, just for him. He also looked forward to playing cards at the Normandy in Twin Valley and many lively games of three-thirteen with Darlene and Kay where he would often say "I must have a hidden card!". Clark also loved cruising around town on his golf cart or side-by-side and spending countless hours in his gardens. He had a special fondness for animals, and they seemed to return the affection, as he welcomed many beloved pets into his life over the years.
Above all, Clark will be remembered for his lighthearted personality. He was a natural jokester who loved pulling pranks, making people laugh, and keeping those around him smiling. His sense of humor, quick wit, and easygoing nature will be deeply missed.
Clark is survived by his children: Warren (Kim) Flowers of Adams, TN, and their children, Jared and Shawn, Jamie (Gus) Bogart of Riverside, CA, and their children, Kim and Karen; and Clark Miller Jr. of Riverside, CA; siblings, Errol "Buzz" (Deb) Miller of Gary and Diane Bauer of Vale, SD; special friend and caregiver, Darlene Lampton; and many nieces and nephews. Clark was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ella Miller; and the mother of his children, Jessie Kidd; and brother-in-law, Winfred "Punky" Bauer.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation one hour before, at the Anderson Family Funeral Home in Twin Valley. Interment will be at the Gary Lutheran Cemetery, Gary, MN.
