Cheryl Brenna, age 73, of Ulen, MN, died Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Viking Manor Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family.

Cheryl Jean Brenna was born on March 18, 1949, in Hawley, MN, to Morris and Hilda (Syverson) Brenna. She grew up on a farm near Ulen, which is where her love for horses began along with her dislike for birds, especially chickens. She attended school in Ulen and was part of the class of 1967 where she was a cheerleader, a majorette, and played the drums in the marching band. Cheryl moved to the Twin Cities where she raised her family and worked for over forty years. In 2008, she moved back up north to Audubon, MN, to be closer to her grandchildren and family. Of which both were very important to her. In 2018, Cheryl came back to her roots, and returned home to Ulen because of her health.

Cheryl enjoyed quilting, crocheting, gardening, canning, and laughing. But most of all she truly loved watching her grandchildrens sporting events, and she was their #1 fan. Spending time with family was also a big part of her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Barbara Hilde, Betty Erickson, Gale Brenna, Marilyn Beven, Joyce Borchardt, and Mike Brenna. Cheryl is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Kristi) Knutson of Ulen, MN; her daughter, Jodi Knutson of Dillon, CO; granddaughter, Anna (Drew) Hawk of Fargo, ND; grandson, Garrett Knutson of Ulen, MN; her brother Clair (Bonnie) Brenna of Minneapolis, MN; brother-in-law Roy Erickson of Woodbury, MN; sister-in-law Kari Myhre of Glyndon, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Anderson Family Funeral Home, Twin Valley, MN.
