Charles "Chuckie" Beaulieu, age 71, of Mahnomen, MN, died Monday April 11, 2016, in Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.


Charles W. was born March 19, 1945, to Roger and Jane (McDonald) Beaulieu. He grew up in the Beaulieu, MN, area and attended school in Mahnomen. He lived at home with his parents and helped his father on the farm. His father was an outdoorsman and shared his love and skill of hunting and fishing with Chuckie. During the summer months, he loved to go fishing early in the morning and swim in the river to cool off. The winter months brought many games of cards. Chuckie also liked to frequent the casino and the Red Apple Café to play cards. He has made his home at Valley View Commons in Mahnomen for the past several years.


Chuckie is survived by nieces and nephews. He was welcomed home by his family, including parents, Robert and Jane, brother, Robert "Pedro", and sister, Maxine.


A Memorial Mass was held Thursday, April 28th at 2 p.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Mahnomen. A Time of Gathering was held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial was in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Beaulieu, MN.
