Obituary

Carter Peterson, 16, Ada, Minnesota, went to be with the Lord, where he met him with open arms, Sunday, October 16th, 2016, as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident near Borup, MN.

Carter Alexander Peterson was born June 10, 2000, in Fargo, North Dakota, the son of Randy and Chasity (Cymbaluk) Peterson. Carter was baptized and later confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Ada. Carter is a Junior at Ada-Borup High School where he attended since 3rd grade.

Carter was an outstanding, dedicated, hardworking young man who was never too big for a hug and an "I love you." His smile was contagious and could light up a dark room, and his heart was full of gold. In school, Carter was active in many activities, Basketball, Football, Track & Field, FCCLA, FFA, Close Up, choir and band. He was the defensive MVP of his 2014 & 2015 football career even with unique stride. Though he loved all these things, Carter was happiest when he was at home with friends, his girlfriend Sarah, and his family. In his free time, you would find Carter skyping his girlfriend, sharing his love for sports with his dad, (he knew every player) playing video games, and enjoying time with his friends and family.

Carter is survived by his parents, Randy & Chasity, one brother Matthew (Jon) of Bloomington, MN, one sister Emma of Ada, girlfriend Sarah Hanna of Hawley, MN, great grandparents, Burton Slininger of Ada, Arlone Cymbaluk of Crookston MN, Irene Green of Fosston MN, Grandparents, Diane Peterson of Ada, John and Vicki Cymbaluk of Fosston MN, many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by great grandparents, Laurena Slininger, Harold Green, Marvin Cymbaluk, and one uncle Carl Cymbaluk.

Funeral: 1:00PM Friday, October 21, 2016, at Grace Lutheran Church, Ada.

Visitation: 5:00PM to 7:00PM with a 6:30PM prayer service on Thursday at the church.
