Carol Ann Peterson, 65, Halstad, Minnesota, passed away Monday, June 6, 2016 at the Halstad Living Center.

Carol A. Peterson was born in Fargo on January 23, 1951 to Arthur and Charlotte Walker. She attended West Fargo High School and graduated in 1969. After working various jobs, Carol decided the nursing field was her calling. She started out working as a CNA at the Halstad Living Center. While raising a family of 3, Carol decided to attend more schooling and received her LPN license in 1992. She worked as an LPN at both the Sanford Hillsboro Care Center and the Halstad Living Center, retiring in March of 2011.

Carol truly had a love for camping and fishing while spending time with her family. She was an active computer user for both work and play, loved to do needlework and always looked forward to making her meat pies, she was a great cook.

Carol is survived by her husband of 46 years, Michael Peterson, Halstad, MN; 3 children, Tonia (Lee) Johnson, Grandin, ND, Tera Munter, Halstad, MN and Michael Peterson, Halstad, MN along with 5 grandchildren, father Arthur Walker, West Fargo; one sister, Debra Walker, Mound, MN; two brothers, Bruce (Melinda) Walker, West Fargo; Rudy (Debbie) Walker, West Fargo and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Carol was preceded in death by her mother Charlotte, and brother, Bradley.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday June 10th, 2016 at the Halstad Living Center in Halstad, MN with visitation one hour prior to the service.
