Carol "Pud" Neeland, age 56, of Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND.

Carol Neeland, the daughter of John and Doris (Dunkley) Neeland, was born May 17, 1963, in Bagley, MN.  Growing up she attended school at Circle of Life in White Earth, MN.  Following graduation, Carol moved to Western North Dakota with her sister, Linda, and entered the work force.  She never shied away from hard work. She spent some time living in Alaska where she enjoyed trapping and hunting, before moving back to the area.  Over the years, Carol worked various jobs including several temp services and telemarketing for the North American Research Group.  She also worked at the lefsa plant, the potato plant, the dehydrated food plant and American Crystal Sugar beet piler, to name a few.  Carol met Steve Holm and together they were blessed with a son, Ivan.  She has spent the last 15 years living and working in Fargo, ND. Throughout her life, Carol faced many challenges, but always remained positive and was very adaptable.  She will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who loved her.

Carol enjoyed beading, sewing, working with birchbark, wood burning, and anything that kept her hands busy.  She was a kindhearted, generous, adventurous, fun-loving individual, who always saw the good in everyone.  Family was her greatest joy and she cherished their time together.

Carol is survived by her son, Ivan (Indiana) Holm of Ulen, MN; sisters, Cheryl Neeland of Ebro, MN, and Linda Ames of Mahnomen, MN; twin brother, Daryl Neeland of Bagley, MN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Doris Neeland; three brothers: Albert, John and William Neeland; two half-sisters, Joyce and Beverly; nephew, Alvin Neeland; and other expended family.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at  Rice Lake Community Center, Rice Lake, MN.  Visitation will take place at the Rice Lake Community Center on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Inurnment will take place at St. Philips Episcopal Cemetery at a later date.
