Carol L. Halverson, 88, Halstad, MN, formerly of Ada, MN passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at the Halstad Living Center in Halstad.

Carol Lois Halverson was born on March 22, 1935 in Mankato, MN to Henry and Esther (Seppman) Cassman. She attended high school in Felton, MN.

Carol was united in marriage to Harold Halverson on October 9, 1953 in Ada. They lived in Hendrum and raised their children there for many years. After Harold's death in 1992, Carol moved to Twin Valley where she would work as a CNA until her retirement. She then moved to Ada until her transition to the Halstad Living Center.

Carol was most often found cooking, baking, sewing, or doing ceramics. She cherished time spent with her family and spending time in her flower garden. Carol also enjoyed soap operas and country music, especially Patsy Cline.

She is survived by her children, Deborah Houston, Hendrum, MN, and Keith (Denise) Halverson, Gary, MN; grandchildren, Leslie Hilde, Jessica Carnegie, Stephanie "Stevie" (Jeff) Houston-Johnson, Michael Reyes, Amanda (Kevin) Benson and Alyssa Thompson; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Cassandra, Dylan, Kevin Jr., Myla, David, Rubi, Gregory, Elliot, Shane, Hannah, Blake, Sheyenne, and Shawnae; sisters, Helen Ronglie, Moorhead, MN, and Velma Dunham, Felton, MN; and sisters-in-law, Carol Cassman, Fargo, ND, and LuElla Cassman, Minneapolis, MN. Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Esther; husband, Harold; son-in-law, Horacio "Lacho" Reyes; granddaughter, Desteny Thompson; sister, Delores Bjornstad; and brothers, Dale, Wilbur, Bill, Vernon, and Burnet.

Memorial Service: 2:00 PM, Monday, February 5, 2024 at Fredrikson-Ganje Funeral Home, Halstad, MN.

Visitation: One hour before the memorial service at the funeral home.

Inurnment: Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Hendrum, MN. (At a later date)
