Brenda Rude, age 49, of Callaway, MN, died Friday, March 30, 2012 in her home.

Brenda Lorraine Lee, daughter of Dean and Violet (Tunks) Lee, was born on April 10, 1962 in Ada, MN. She grew up in Gary, MN. She was confirmed in Gary Lutheran Church in 1978 and graduated from Gary High School in 1981. She was united in marriage to Kevin Rude on June 27, 1981 and the couple lived in Bejou, MN. Two years later, they moved to Callaway to make their home. Brenda's most important focus in life was raising her children but she also worked part time as a waitress at the Robin's Nest Café in Callaway for several years. Kevin passed away suddenly in 1996 and Brenda and the children continued to live in Callaway. For many years, Brenda has cherished the companionship of Steve Juntunen. She spent many hours talking with friends and loved a bonfire in the backyard. Brenda also enjoyed simply taking a drive to see the countryside. She was often found playing Bingo, shopping, and hanging out with her family. She will be missed by many who held her close to their heart.
