Brandon Taylor, age 26, of McCurtain, Oklahoma, formerly Ulen, Minnesota, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2009 in McCurtain.

Brandon Taylor was born May 19, 1983 in Stockton, California. He spent most of his childhood in Nevada where he attended elementary school. In 1991, he moved to Minnesota with his family. Brandon attended high school in Lake Park and Ulen. He later lived in Fargo until he moved to Oklahoma a year ago.

Brandon enjoyed music and watching football games. He liked animals, expecially dogs and cats. Brandon will be remembered as a kind and gentle person who made friends wherever he went.

Brandon is survived by his mother, Liana and step-father, Ron Cheska of McCurtain, Oklahoma; three half-brothers, Luther, Lee and Hunter; two step-brothers, Ronnie and A.J. Cheska; his grandmother, Sue Taylor of CA; the Steven Holm family whom he lived with for much of his life, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral Services were held in New Life Ministries Church in McCurtain, Oklahoma on Tuesday, September 8, 2009. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, Sept. 12 at 10:00 AM in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Ulen. Visitation will be one hour before services at the church on Saturday. Officiating will be Pastor Steve Dahl with Penny Herzog serving as organist. Pallbearers will be Justin Holm, Alex Hansen, Ryan Hansen, James Edwards, Jesse Covey and Ronnie Cheska.

Burial will take place in Lysne Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hawley, Minnesota.
