Bonnie Shaw, age 75, of Ulen, Minnesota, died Tuesday, October 04, 2011, in her home.

Bonnie Ione Vincent was born June 20, 1936 the daughter of Donald and Esther (Gilbertson) Vincent Sr. on the family farm in Hagen Township, west of Ulen, Minnesota. She was baptized in Calvary Lutheran Church in Ulen and confirmed her faith at Lysne Lutheran Church near Hawley. She attended country schools in Keene Township, Clay County, and graduated with the class of 1956 in Hitterdal, Minnesota.

On June 10, 1956, Bonnie was united in marriage to Clifford Shaw at Lysne Lutheran Church. Following their marriage, the couple made their home east of Felton, where they raised dairy cattle and harvested hay. In the 1960's, Bonnie enjoyed being out meeting people while selling Tupperware. Over the years Bonnie was also known for making wedding and graduation cakes for friends and family. In 1988, she and Clifford quit raising dairy cattle and in 2002, they retired and moved into Ulen. Clifford died May 9, 2007. Bonnie continued to make Ulen her home until the time of her death.

Bonnie was a real people-person who was artistically creative. Her warm smile and bubbly personality would light up the room! Bonnie was an active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she enjoyed circle and quilting. Her favorite past times included arts and crafts and attending the Top Hat Theatre. She was treasurer of Art Guild, past president of the Ulen Senior Citizens as well as having served as president of her homemakers group. Bonnie loved spending time with her family and truly treasured the time she spent with her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Bonnie is survived by a son, Carl (Susan) of Ulen, MN; a daughter, Betty Shaw (Paul Banttari) of Fargo, ND; six grandchildren, Darren of Mpls, MN, Sarah (Jon) Kauffman of Bar Nunn, WY, Brian (Katie) of Red Lake Falls, MN, Barry (Tammy) of Moorhead, MN, Nathan (Erin) of Felton, MN and Allen of Ulen, MN; three great-grandchildren, Daniel Shaw, Lily and Anja Kauffman; sister, Juanita Jeral of Hawley, MN; brothers, Donald Jr. (Lois) of Glyndon, MN and Larry (Dorothy) of Felton, MN and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and an infant brother.

Funeral Services were held on Saturday, October 8th, 2011 at 11:00 AM in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Ulen. Visitation was Friday, October 7th from 5-7 PM with a Prayer Service at 6:30 PM at the church. Visitation was also one hour before services at the church on Saturday. Officiating was Pastor Steve Dahl with music provided by Carol Lockhart, Susan Green, Sarah Kauffman, and Karen Goodhart. Pallbearers were her grandchildren, Darren Shaw, Sarah Kauffman, Brian Shaw, Barry Shaw, Nathan Shaw and Allen Shaw. Honorary pallbearers wereDuane Jeral, Nolan Jeral, Austin Jeral, Dylan Jeral, Jon Kauffman, David Shaw and all who are present at the service.

Interment was in North Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Ulen.
