Bobby Brevik, age 73, of Twin Valley, Minnesota, passed away on July 25, 2025, in a farm related accident.

Bobby Dean Brevik was born on March 20, 1952, in Ada, MN, to Cliffton and Dolly (Vigesaa) Brevik. He grew up in Twin Valley, graduating with the Class of 1970. While still in school, Bobby delivered bread for the local bakery before class - just the beginning of a lifelong dedication to hard work.

In 1971, Bobby married the love of his life, Janice Prestegord, at Wild Rice Lutheran Church. Together, they raised three sons and built a life rooted in hard work, faith, and family.

After high school, Bobby worked a variety of jobs, including time at Viking Snowmobile and doing construction with Stanley Habedank, before settling into a career with TF Powers Construction in Fargo, ND. He commuted there for many years before taking on a new role closer to home as the maintenance director at Lutheran Memorial Homes in Twin Valley, a position he held for nearly 30 years. Retirement didn't keep him still for long as Bobby went on to work part-time with Skaurud Grain Farms.

In the early 1980s, Bobby and Janice bought land on Tulaby Lake, where he proudly cleared and built a cabin which became a beloved family retreat for over 35 years. In 2020, they moved into their forever home just outside Twin Valley.

Bobby had a deep love for the outdoors. He was an avid trapper, hunter, and fisherman, making annual elk hunting trips to Colorado and most recently sharing a fishing adventure in Alaska with his sons. He also had a passion for vintage cars, often showing his prized collection at local car shows. Bobby was a talented musician and loved to sing and play guitar, generously sharing his gifts at community events and funeral services. He never liked to be idle and could always be found tinkering, building, or helping with construction projects for friends and family. Some of his proudest work could be found at Trinity Lutheran Church, where he was baptized, confirmed, and remained a lifelong member. Bobby lived by the motto, "When you do something, you do it right the first time." He was a man of integrity, a natural storyteller, and someone who made friends everywhere he went. In recent years, he and Janice enjoyed wintering in Arizona, where Bobby quickly became a friend to many.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Janice; sons: Kerry (Sonia), Matt (Tessa), and Mike (Marie); 10 grandchildren: Jordan, Kaley, Jarod, Jadon, Jaxon, Cameron, Taylor, Ethan, Ronin, and Jericho; 5 great-grandchildren: Elliana, Beckett, Baylor, Penny, and Ollie; siblings: Terry (Linda) Brevik, Christie Roering, and Joey Brevik; and many close friends.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Judy Brevik; and brother-in-law, Rodger Roering.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 at 2:00 p.m., with a visitation starting one hour before, at Zion Lutheran Church in Twin Valley. Burial will take place at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Twin Valley.
