Blair F. Tufte, 65, Ada, MN, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023 at his residence near Ada of natural causes.

Blair Froirak Tufte was born on May 19, 1958 to Davis and Avis (Froirak) Tufte in Ada, MN. He grew up and lived on the family farm in Mary Township in Norman County where they raised small grains, sugar beets, and livestock. Blair attended school in Borup, MN graduating in 1976. Blair was baptized, confirmed and continued to be a member at Zion Lutheran Church in Ada.

Farming was a lifelong career and passion for Blair. He started alongside his parents and uncle Kenneth Tufte. Eventually partnering with his brothers, Bruce and Brent as Tufte Brothers.

On December 5, 1981, Blair married Paula Fuchs in Glyndon, MN. Together they had three children, Justin, Kayla and Laura. and made their home in Borup down the road from Blair's parents and family farm.

Family was #1 to Blair. His family always knew he was in their corner. He adored his role as a grandparent to his 4 grandchildren most of all and cherished the time and activities done with them. Things like hunting, fishing, playing cards, or simply reading to them gave him great joy.

Blair enjoyed gardening, traveling, antiques, riding his motorcycles, time at the lake, and having a good meal and a few drinks with family and friends. Blair was always quick with a joke and willing to help someone in need. He was a good son, brother, nephew, uncle, husband, father, grandfather, neighbor, and friend. He will be truly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Paula; son, Justin, Ada, MN; daughters, Kayla Westcott, Shakopee, MN; and Laura Sweeney, Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Kaci and Devin Westcott, Logan Sweeney, and Josie Tufte; brothers, Bruce (Mary), Borup, MN, and Brent (Kathy), Twin Valley, MN; sister, Pam (Sam) Larson, Detroit Lakes, MN; mother-in-law, Patsy Fuchs; former son-in-law, Kevin Westcott; sister-in-law, Sherri Link; brother-in-law, Kent Fuchs; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Blair was preceded in death by his parents, Davis and Avis; brother, Brian Tufte; brothers-in-law, Darrell Miller, and Kevan Fuchs; father-in-law, Dennis Fuchs; uncle, Kenneth Tufte; uncle and aunt, Duane and Donna Froirak; and both paternal and maternal grandparents.

Celebration of Life Service: 7:00 PM, Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Fredrikson-Ganje Funeral Home, Ada, MN.

Visitation: 5:00 PM until the time of the service on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at the funeral home.
