Blaid Halverson, 62, of Twin Valley, MN, died peacefully Friday, April 23, 2021 at the Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND, with his family by his side.

Blaid Ervin Halverson was born December 13, 1958 in Ada, MN, the son of Allan and Norma (Groslie) Halverson. He was raised with his family in Twin Valley, attended school there and graduated with the class of 1977. He was a jack of all trades, first working with his parents at the Twin Valley Locker Plant, then working construction at the Twin Valley Nursing Home. He worked for Roger Bentley doing drywall and later was a foreman for his brother at ABC Seamless in both Twin Valley and Sioux Falls, SD, for over 15 years. When his father's health began to fail, Blaid moved back to Twin Valley to help his parents. You would see him mowing their ditch on the riding lawn mower every summer. He also worked as a server at the Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen. Whether it was building storage in your garage, putting a new roof on your house, adding a new light fixture, or taking down a building, Blaid was always the go to person in the family capable and more than willing to help out.

On June 30, 2001, Blaid was united in marriage to Cindy Jenson and they made their home in Twin Valley. Blaid's health declined over the past five years, but regardless, he continued to keep a positive attitude and enjoyed hearing a funny story or a good joke. Blaid was also an avid Vikings Fan and liked taking "putt-putt" rides with his friends and his dog Blaze.

He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Blaid is survived by his wife, Cindy of Twin Valley; two step-children, Andrea (Nathan) Hoff and their children, Hudson and Pierson of Callaway, MN,  and Bryan (Kayleigh) Bjorgan and their children: Bryant, Scarlette and Erickson of Ortonville, MN; three sisters: Bridget (Jim) Swenson of  Moorhead, MN, Belinda (Roger) Fjeld of Fertile, MN, and Babette Camacho of San Antonio, TX; one brother, Bradley (Lisa) Halverson of Garretson, SD; aunt, Sylvia (Harlan) Bueng of Twin Valley, MN; uncle, Noel (Phyllis) Sletten of Park Rapids, MN, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a dear friend, Rob Skow, who was like a brother to him.

Blaid was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021, in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Twin valley, beginning at 11:00 a.m. All are welcome to attend.
