Beulah M. Coyle, age 83, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, formerly Mahnomen, Minnesota, died on Monday, June 4, 2007 under the care of West Alabama Hospice in Tuscaloosa.
Beulah Stoen, the daughter of Henry and Christine (Wermager) Stoen, was born October 4, 1923, in Waukon township. At the age of six, Beulah moved with her family to Mahnomen where she attended school. As a young schoolgirl she met her future husband, Richard Coyle, while on the school bus. Upon her high school graduation, Beulah attended college at Moorhead State University for one year. On June 17, 1947, Dick and Beulah were united in marriage at the First Lutheran Church in Mahnomen. She was a dedicated farmwife, homemaker and mother. After Dick's death in 1996, she remained at home in Mahnomen. Although she continued to spend summers in Minnesota, Beulah spent four winters with her daughter in Alabama, until 2001, when she permanently moved to Tuscaloosa to be near her children.
Beulah was active with the First Lutheran Church in Mahnomen where she was a Sunday School Teacher for many years. Beulah was also active with the circle and prayer groups at church as well. She loved to cook and bake and made many treats for her family.
