Bette D. Eastvold, 94, Ada, MN, died Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at the Halstad Living Center, Halstad, MN.

Bette Delores Corwin, "beloved, dear aunt", was born July 20, 1925, in Rochester, MN, the youngest of five children of Ellera and Maude (Winn) Corwin.

She moved with her family to rural Ulen, MN, where she attended grade school at the Braaten Town School in Ulen Township. Following graduation from Ulen High School, she moved to California and worked at a telephone and insurance company. She returned to Ulen and was employed by the Grey Hound Bus Depot in Fargo for some time.

Bette met Trumen Eastvold and they were married on April 6, 1947, in Moorhead, MN. They moved to a farm in Rockwell Township near Borup in Norman County and farmed together for over 65 years. Bette enjoyed the farm and caring for her chickens, and gardening. She was known for her wonderful Angel food cakes and sewing. She was gracious and enjoyed having relatives, friends, and neighbors over and entertaining them.

Bette was always so appreciative of those that helped her. Ron and Missy Mattson were wonderful renters and always caring for the land. Michelle Crompton was a special friend supporting Bette as her care increased.

Trumen passed away in 2013 and Bette later moved from the farm to an apartment in Ada. She is survived by; a loving great niece, Bobbie Anderson, Anoka, MN, who has been special to Bette for many years helping on the farm, several nieces and nephews and her many friends.
