Beatrice A. Wilkinson, age 90, of Fargo, formerly of Moorhead passed away Friday, August 5, 2011 in the Sanford Health Systems Palliative Care, Fargo.

Beatrice was born on February 4, 1921 in Gary, MN to Adolph and Bessie (Noss) Kvamme. She grew up in Gary, MN and was baptized and confirmed at the Gary Lutheran Church. Bea attended school in Gary graduating with the class of 1939. She was united in marriage to Lloyd Forsell and the couple lived in Gary, MN. In 1953, Bea married Robert Wilkinson making their home in Moorhead, MN and they were blessed with one son, Terrance.

Bea was a telephone operator in Gary and later worked in the shipyards in Portland, OR during WW II. She was an avid reader and enjoyed attending Bible Study. She was grateful for her many kind friends and relatives and the wonderful care she received at the Bethany Homes for the past few years. She was a loving mother and will be missed by many.

Bea is survived by her son, Terry Wilkinson of Moorhead, MN; one sister, Ione (Sanford) Jacobson of Gary, MN; two sister-in-laws, Evelyn Kvamme of Moorhead, MN and Darlene Kvamme of Fargo, ND; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; one sister and three brothers.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Gary Lutheran Church, Gary, MN. Visitation was one hour prior to the service. Officiating was Pastor John Ahola with Alden Anderson serving as organist and vocalist, accompanied by Jenny Hanson. Pallbearers were Mike Jacobson, Dennis Jacobson, Nick Olson, Donald Kvamme, Brock Robertson and Jeff Rischbaum.

Burial was at the Gary Lutheran Cemetery in Gary, MN.
