Beatrice Irene Solie, 77, went home to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Saturday December 13, 2014, at her home in rural Fertile, MN. Beatrice Nordby was born on July 30, 1937, to Barney and Hattie (Patterson) Nordby in rural Erskine, MN. Beatrice was baptized and confirmed in the Erskine Methodist Church in Erskine. She started school in rural Erskine, then for several school years attended in Erskine, MN. Beatrice returned to Erskine, graduating in 1956.
On June 23, 1956, Beatrice was united in marriage to Walter Solie at the Erskine Methodist Church. The lived in several places in rural Fertile before buying the home farm. Along with working with Walter in the sodding, trucking and farming business, and keeping the books up to date, she worked as a cook at Sonie's Café for many years.
Beatrice attended Concordia Lutheran Church in Fertile, when she was able. As her health deteriorated, Beatrice was unable to be as active. She enjoyed reading history and biographies, drawing and painting, caring for her flower gardens and spending time with her many nieces and nephews, dogs and cats.
Beatrice is survived by her husband, Walter, Fertile, MN; sisters: Janice (Lyle) Johnson, Superior, WI; Sandra Gulbranson, Cottage Grove, MN; and JoAnn (Dave) Lyngholm, Electric City, WA; one aunt, Louise Hoyum, Bemidji, MN; one uncle, Louie Patterson, Erskine; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Donald and Gordon as children; mother and father-in-law, three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 19, 2014, at 11 am in the Erskine United Methodist Church, Erskine, MN.

Visitation will be one hour before the services in the church.

Burial will be in the Erskine Synod Cemetery, Erskine, MN.
