Watch Avery's Funeral

Avery Moody-Meyer, age 12, of Bejou, MN, died on Friday, December 5, 2025.

Avery Ira was welcomed into this world by his loving parents, Dovlyn Moody and Geoffery Meyer on October 23, 2013, in New Richmond, WI. When Avery was only three months old his family moved to Fargo, ND.  Shortly before pre-school, Dovlyn and Avery moved to the Bejou area.  Avery started school at Fertile-Beltrami Public School where he was currently in the 6th grade.

Avery was a good student who excelled in his classes, especially Math, and was recently selected to participate in the Knowledge Bowl.  In addition, he also liked to joke around, make people laugh with his good sense of humor and class clown antics.  For instance, Avery would tell you he liked his steak medium rare because nobody like congratulatory steak!  He enjoyed spending his free time gaming on his PC or his phone.  Avery liked building maps on Minecraft, playing Roblox and wanted to learn to code so he could make his games better.  He was lucky enough to have cousins in the area to hang out with.  His favorite was Aeris and he would smile just at the thought of taking her to the Haunted Trails and how scared she would get.  Avery loved his family and his animals.  He had a special place in his heart for cats, even his grandma Stephanie's ceramic one.  Although gone far too soon from this life, he will live on in the hearts and memories of all who knew and loved him.

Avery leaves behind his parents, Dovlyn (Aron Pederson) Moody of Bejou and Geoffery Meyer of Fargo, ND; paternal great grandparents: Barb Lees of Fargo and Ron (Sharon) Meyer of Park Rapids, MN; maternal grandparents: Diane Bryant, Joel (Melinda) Pederson and Tammie McQuown all of Fargo; paternal grandparents, Stephanie Taylor and Dan (Cricket) Meyer both of Fargo; Uncles: Mike Radunz Jr. of Texas, Sean Lees of Fargo, Jordan (Erika Leach-Meyer) Meyer of Springfield, MO, Max McCormick and Nick (Courtney) McCormick both of Fargo, Evan (Lilly) Pederson of Nebraska, Josh (Irish) Swanson of Fargo and Tyler Swanson of Moorhead, MN; aunts, Natassja Moody of Fargo, Destiny Meyer of Dilworth, MN, and Cassandra (Angel) Swanson of Moorhead; cousins: Aeris, Tatum, Percy, Dwight, Vallen, Theo, Everett and Jay.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandpa, Mike Radunz, uncle, Tony Radunz; paternal grandpa, Bobby Taylor and Avery's beloved cat, Benji.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the Fertile-Beltrami Public School in Fertile, MN.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the school.
