Aurora C. Deziel, 83, Mentor, MN, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014, at her home in Maple Bay.
Aurora Catherine Gervais was born October 3, 1930, in Red Lake County, Minnesota. Her parents were Albert and Bertha (Truedeau) Gervais. She attended country school in Red Lake County. Aurora was united in marriage to Harry Deziel on October 5, 1949, in Gentilly, MN. They raised their family in Grand Forks until they moved to Maple Lake. She had worked at Valley Memorial in Grand Forks and retired from the UND Rehab Center. In 1984, she became a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, in Fertile, MN.
Aurora is survived by her children, Jean Jeffrey, East Grand Forks, MN, Gary (Kathy) Deziel, Thompson, ND, Yvonne (Tim) Murray, East Grand Forks, MN, Cathy (Wayne) Strand, Las Vegas, NV, Tammy (Garry) Hillier, Thompson, ND, Jack (Diane "Duke") Deziel, East Grand Forks, MN, Pat (Roxanne "Rocky") Deziel, Mentor, MN, Keven (Ann) Deziel, Mentor, MN, 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, two brothers, John (Joyous) Gervais, Mesa, AZ, Albert Jr., Red Lake Falls, MN, one sister, Teresa LaPlante, Red Lake Falls, MN, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harry, son Dale, grandson, Gregory Jeffrey, son-in-law, Dale Jeffrey, and siblings, Andrew, Norma, Gerard, Rita, Joe, and Paul.
Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00am, Wednesday, March 5, 2014, in St Joseph Catholic Church, Fertile, MN.
Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.
Burial will be at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Gentilly, MN
