The exciting moments of pregnancy turned to sorrow for Jazmine Leslie and Avery Fairbanks, of Mahnomen, MN, with the death of their precious baby girl, Auria Joleen Fairbanks, at Essentia Health St. Mary's in Detroit Lakes, MN.

On June 4, 2017 at 12:41 pm, Auria Joleen Fairbanks "Giizhiibaayaashi" was born and also started her journey to the spirit world.

Although her family did not get much time with her, in that short time, she took a part of their hearts with her. She was a beautiful baby girl, with black curly hair, who will forever be cherished in their hearts.

She is survived by her parents, Jazmine Leslie and Avery Fairbanks; brother Harley; sisters, Jayda and Kayleen; grandparents: Jessi Gagnon, Hawk LaFriniere, Terri Fairbanks and Tracy Zornes; "Greatest" aunt, Joleen Gagnon; and numerous aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her great grandparents: Stella Leslie, Kenny "Beans" and Bonnie LaFriniere and Spencer Fairbanks.

Memorial Services will be held Friday, June 16, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Sports Complex in Naytahwaush, MN.
