Neil Arvid Edmunds, 70, Ada, MN, died Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Fargo, ND.

"Arvid" was born on July 9, 1944, in Ada, the son of Alvin and Alice (Nelson) Edmunds. He grew up on the family farm near Hendrum, MN, and attended grade school and high school in Hendrum. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church where he was confirmed. Arvid joined the United States Army in 1965. He was stationed in Germany from 1965-1969. After he was honorably discharged he returned to Norman County and worked various jobs, including driving beet truck and mechanic work. Arvid was also employed with Lee Bros. Sales auto dealership in Ada for many years and recently retired due to his health. He loved his job and enjoyed working with his co-workers and the customers. Arvid married Gail Knutson on his birthday, July 9, 2005, at Grace Lutheran Church in Ada, where they made their home. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, and the Ada VFW Post. Arvid enjoyed car shows and also operated a lawn mowing business for many years.

Arvid is survived by his wife, Gail of Ada, brother, Dean (June) Edmunds, niece Noel, all of Fargo, ND; and a step-son, Patrick Knutson, St. Cloud, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral: 11:00AM Monday, September 8, 2014, at Grace Lutheran Church, Ada, MN.

Visitation: Sunday from 5PM to 7PM, with a 7:00PM prayer service all at Grace Lutheran Church.

Burial: Concordia Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hendrum, MN.
