Obituary

Arnold Versdahl, 80, Winger, MN, died Tuesday, August 28, 2007, at FirstCare Medical Center in Fosston, MN.

Arnold was born on September, 12, 1926 in Leonard, ND to Albert and Ida (Sletmoe) Versdahl. He attended the Wooded Park and Winger Schools, and was confirmed at Dovre Lutheran Church in Winger. Following his education, Arnold worked at the Winger Creamery for 23 years. He also managed the Rindal Creamery for 16 years before retiring in the early 1980's.

Arnold was a devoted son and cared for his parents for many years. On many Sundays he enjoyed taking them for car rides. He also enjoyed listening to music and playing his violin and guitar. His friend Clayton would often times come to his house where they played their guitars together.

In recent years, Arnold struggled with arthritis in his knees and shoulders, but with the help of Doris, Norman and Manley he was able to remain in his home for the last two years. He enjoyed their company and every afternoon would have fresh coffee ready for them when they stopped by.

Arnold is survived by his sister, Doris Olson of Winger; three brothers: Allan of Spring Lake Park, MN; and Norman (June) and Manley of Winger; four nephews: Terry, Wayne, Mike and Randy; and five nieces: Linda, Betty, Nancy, Diane and Lorie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Ida; one brother, Roger, one nephew, Brian; and a brother in-law, Morris Olson.
