Arnold Schneidermann, age 80, of Ulen, Minnesota, died Friday, March 16, 2007, in Viking Manor Nursing Home, Ulen.
Arnold Boumann Schneidermann was born March 5, 1927, the son of H. J. and Tillie (Boumann) Schneidermann in Lyon County, Iowa. In 1934, Arnold moved with his family to the Ulen area where he attended country school. As a young boy and into adulthood, Arnold worked on the family farm. He dedicated most of his adult life to raising and milking cows, later raising stock cows and feeders. He also did custom bailing and welding over the years for area farmers. He would use his welding skills to construct cattle feeders as well as create yard ornaments. The farm work kept Arnold busy, but he also enjoyed going to auctions and taking in the Steam Threshers Reunion in Rollog.
In 1996, Arnold moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where he lived for seven years. He then returned to Ulen and lived on the family farm until entering the Viking Manor Nursing Home in September of 2005 where he made his home until the time of his death.
Arnold is survived by three brothers, Lorence, Walter (Mary Ann) and Arthur all of Ulen, MN and two sisters, Helen Kruger of Pipestone, MN and Hilda Schneidermann of Ulen, MN; several nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 2:00 PM in Walworth Baptist Church, rural Ulen. Visitation will be one hour before services at the church on Tuesday. Officiating will be Pastor Ben Carpenter with Danita Morre serving as organist and Paul and Dell Sporleader serving as vocalists. Pallbearers will be
