Armand Moen, age 89, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at River Pointe Senior Living in Moorhead, MN, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Armand LeRoy Moen was born on May 7, 1933, at home, rural Gary, MN, to Selius and Emma (Skaurud) Moen. He was baptized, confirmed, married, and will be buried at St Petri Lutheran Church, rural Gary. Growing up, Armand and his brother, Lowell, were inseparable and quite the mischief makers. Knowing the two, I'm sure Armand was the instigator. He was also very close to his mother and 'could do no wrong' in her eyes.  On September 17, 1953, Armand married Marvella Voje, and to that union five children were born: LaVonne, Curtis, Donavan, Michelle, and Scott.  Later in life he married Cyndy Borstad.

After deciding that farming and milking cows wasn't his lifelong vocation, Armand tried his hand at car sales, having always loved nice cars. Eventually, the open road called, and he became an over the road truck driver, doing his last run at the good old age of 80! He said he would have kept on longer, but they wouldn't insure him anymore!  When Armand could get out of the truck, he wanted to dance. He loved to old time dance and it's what he missed the most as his health failed. Armand was a friend to all that knew him and held dear many lifelong friends that he grew up with. He deeply cherished his cousins and his nieces and nephews.  Armand was a rock to the family and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his two former wives; five children and their spouses: LaVonne (Rodney) Sannes, Curtis, Donavan (Mary), Michelle (Wade) Weets and Scott (Tami); Cyndy's daughters: Tara and Tenielle; his grandchildren: Dean Thorsen, Jill Thorsen (Mitch Forderer), Casey Sannes, Carey (Teresa) Sannes, Shelley (Corey) Sannes-Pergl, Anneleise (Dustin) Rietsema, Julia Moen, Alexis Weets, Tim (Kendra) Jensen, Madison Moen, Keah (Chris) Bunge, and Cameron Nelson; his great grandchildren: Jordan, Morgan, Carter, Emma, Avery, Luke, Stevan, Logan, Shilo, Raegan, Lincoln, Brooks, CJ, Grayson, Conner, Kimmy, Kody and a baby due in May; and his great great granddaughter, Blake.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: Faville (Avis), Jerome, Lowell (Betty); infant sister, Sharon; and his great granddaughter, Tiffany Krueger.

A Memorial service will be held at the Anderson Family Funeral Home in Twin Valley, MN on Monday, February 27, 2023, at 2:00pm, with a time of gathering 1 hour prior.  Inurnment will be in St Petri Cemetery, rural Gary, MN, at a later date.
