Ardis L. Rockstad, 96, of Ada, MN, died Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at Viking Manor Nursing Home, Ulen, MN.

Ardis Lorraine Rockstad was born at home in rural Norman County near Ada on March 18, 1921, the daughter of George and Lizzie (Jacobson) Rockstad.

She was baptized and later confirmed her faith at Concordia Lutheran Church, rural Hendrum, MN. She attended country school in Hegne Township and later graduated from Ada High School. Following high school, she attended business school in Fargo.

Ardis was employed in the office of various Ada businesses including Nelson Rasmusson Plumbing, and the Ada FHA Office. She enjoyed her garden, crocheting, and doing puzzles. After retiring, she was a volunteer Grandma for the Ada Elementary School.

Ardis is survived by her niece, Leigh Kelly, of Ada, and great nieces Melanie (Jammy) Anderson, Twin Valley, MN, and Heather (John) Wichern, of Twin Valley, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Bernice Balzum, and a nephew, Terry Balzum.

Memorial Service: 2:00PM Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at Fredrikson-Ganje Funeral Home in Ada.

Visitation: One hour before the service at the funeral home.

Burial: Ada Municipal Cemetery, Ada, MN.
